Hi, I’m Jessica.
I got into cocktail making in 2022 - not because of COVID, and not because I’ve always loved a good cocktail - but simply because I thought it might increase my cool factor.
At first, I just wanted to learn how to make a great Margarita, Old Fashioned, and Manhattan (which are still 3 of my favourite cocktails today), but that quickly evolved into the more "artisanal" cocktails I make now. I can’t even really articulate how point A turned into point B; all I know is that a few years later I was hosting extravagant cocktail parties for friends, complete with printed menus featuring only my own creations.
Fast-forward a bit further and I was batching cocktails for friends to serve at their own parties and basking in the ego kick I got out of being the “cocktail connoisseur” of my friend group.
Over the years, I spent a lot of time dodging suggestions that I turn this hobby into a business, not wanting to sour something I loved so much, but here I am now - providing small businesses with bespoke cocktail consultation services and writing guides designed to make this incredibly fun hobby more accessible to you from the comfort of your home.
There are a million cocktail influencers online, but most of them focus on sharing recipes rather than teaching the underlying methodology. They rarely dive into technique or explain how to pair flavours in a way that helps you create something of your own. And while following a recipe is great (not everyone wants to invent their own drinks), there is something truly empowering about looking at a bar full of ingredients and knowing you can create something delicious simply because understand the mechanics of how construct a great cocktail.
So whether you’re here to learn the fundamentals or because cocktail making has become your newest hyper-obsessive hobby, my goal is to give you the tools and knowledge you need to make the best classic cocktails you’ve ever had at home — or to level up your menu and keep your business competitive in today’s very saturated elevated cocktail market. Think of me as your slightly obsessive cocktail friend who has already tested every weird flavour combination so you don’t have to.
